In quality grading lines the poorly graded stacks of raw material are automatically separated and each panel is controlled with regard to different features, such as stability, surface quality, dimensional accuracy, humidity etc. In marking stations defects can be manually marked on the panels or they can be automatically marked by scanners. At the end of the actual quality grading, panels of the same quality are stacked to packages.
In high-capacity plants correctly sorted packages are created via separate stacking devices, in smaller plants this can be effected by means of industrial robots in very narrow space conditions.
The quality grading provides sorted material for the production so that the actual production line can be efficiently fed.
